A free Android app, Diseases Dictionary offers a long list of illnesses and conditions nurses are apt to encounter, along with symptoms and preferred treatments. Nurses and students can type in the symptom and a list of possible diseases will appear; this app provides comprehensive information about how to deal with symptoms/how to prevent the disease; and how to improve knowledge about diseases. Whether you're a medical student or just interested in the diseases of the human body, Disease Dictionary is a great tool for looking up common illnesses, together with symptoms, causes and medication. It's also a great tool for patients and people who are sick, as they can understand their condition more easily.
Diseases are arranged alphabetically by their medical term and commonly known names. You can also search them by typing in the name of the disease. The app provides summaries of each disease, descriptions and information on how the condition manifest itself, together with signs and symptoms for early detection.

There's also a whole section on causes, including biological and genetic predisposition. In addition, the app displays classification and treatment methods for the disease, together with instructions to help doctors analyse and diagnose patients that may be suffering from a certain illness. However, sections may differ according to disease but all contain a paragraph on content attribution and most of the information is from Wikipedia.
